A Deer in a Day – Butchery Course (03/13)

Thank you everyone for coming yesterday and for showing so much enthusiasm. We all had a great day despite the chilly weather and gained a huge amount of knowledge about deer butchery with Colin and Alan from Huttons Traditional Butchers, Knaresborough.

From skinning the animal to carving the meat into boneless joints and making sausages, venison butchery doesn’t have any more secrets for us! We all thoroughly enjoyed the lunch of deer kebabs, horseradish sauce and rowan jelly too!
